Waste and composting

Waste and composting

We do not have communal composting facilities; you are advised to make a compost heap somewhere on your plot. You may prefer to deal with serious perennial weeds eg. bindweed separately, either by burning or by taking them home to put in your brown bin.

All non-compostable waste must be taken away and disposed of through your home rubbish collection. Think carefully before bringing non-compostable materials eg. metal, plastic, building materials etc to the site, as these must all be removed if you decide to give up your plot.
